The Artemis

The Artemis was developed from the ground up with the goal of creating a watch unlike anything in the Zelos catalog, both visually and technically. Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, the Artemis features a modular case construction with separate lugs and midcase. It forgoes the traditional bezel entirely, using a large sapphire crystal to showcase the skeletonized Swiss Marvin 700 movement. This sapphire glass is fastened with custom triangular screw heads, and treated in gunmetal or gold PVD to match the dial. An orange anodised crown tube is visible when the crown is pulled out, serving as a reminder to secure it after any adjustments.

Three unique variants of the Artemis are introduced, each made in limited quantities. The Titanium edition pairs a sandblasted titanium case with a greyish white cerakoted midcase. Orange O-rings are used for the front sapphire and matched with an orange second hand.

Damascus steel is an ancient method of forging two different types of steel to create a woodgrain pattern that's unique to each watch. This Damascus stainless steel model uses yellow O-rings with a yellow seconds hand.

The final variant is made from Mokume-Gane created by Vegas Forge, a renowned blacksmith for these layered metals. A total of 100 layers of bronze and nickel were forged and twisted. These bronze layers gain a patina to darken over time, while the nickel layers retain its silver color.

The Marvin 700

Seen previously in the Skyraider 40, the Marvin 700 is back in the Artemis with a reworked dial plate. These are the last of our movements and won't be available again due to the limited stock of original movements.

The Marvin 700 is a Swiss movement from the 1960s that was a victim of the quartz crisis. Handwound, slim and with beautiful architecture, these 'New Old Stock' movements were heavily reworked and skeletonised to what you see here in the Artemis. A black rhodium treatment was applied to the movement for contrast to its balance and wheels. A front cutout on the ratchet wheel allows for a rough gauge of power reserve, and an intricate guilloche is applied to its rear.
